pbw.life has separate terms for studios, for clients who book an appointment, and for events. This page sums them up in short. Only the full text on the linked pages counts.
For all terms, the Dutch version is the version of record. A few parts of the studio terms and of the organizer terms will be worked out further after legal advice. The pages say which parts.
Terms for studios (SaaS terms)
Full text: Terms of Service.
- The contract is between your business and Pro Beauty World, the company behind pbw.life.
- You start with a 30-day free trial. You set up your payment method at signup with a one-off EUR 0.01 payment through Mollie. The first plan payment is collected when the trial ends.
- Currently no VAT is charged (Dutch small-business scheme, KOR).
- Deposits from your clients go directly to your own Mollie or Stripe account. pbw.life does not hold client money and charges no fee per deposit.
- You keep your business details correct, including your KvK number. You set lawful deposit and cancellation policies and keep to them.
- pbw.life processes your clients’ data on your behalf. The Data Processing Agreement is part of the terms. The portal asks you to accept the terms and the agreement, and asks again when a new version comes out. We keep a record of the version and the date.
- For the booking statistics across all studios, pbw.life is itself responsible, not your studio.
- You can cancel at any time. After the trial, access continues until the end of the paid period.
- If a payment fails, you have 7 days to pay the open amount. After that, the portal and the Business app are paused and online booking stops taking new bookings until you pay. Existing appointments stay.
- Dutch law applies.
Terms for clients who book an appointment
- When a studio asks for a deposit and has a cancellation policy, you see the policy before you book. You accept it when you book.
- The policy is saved with your booking. Later changes by the studio do not change your booking.
- The studio provides the service. Questions about your appointment go to the studio.
- pbw.life keeps booking statistics across all studios (completed appointments, no-shows and cancellations). Studios use them to decide whether to ask you for a deposit.
- You must be 16 or older to book. If you are younger, a parent or guardian books for you.
- How pbw.life uses your data is in the Privacy Policy.
Terms for event participants
Full text: Event terms for participants.
- Your contract for the event is with the organizer. pbw.life runs the booking and the payment for the organizer.
- An event has a minimum number of participants and a decision deadline. If the minimum is not reached, the organizer can still decide to run the event. Otherwise the event is cancelled.
- If an event paid online is cancelled, you get back everything you paid, without costs, to the payment method you used.
- You can cancel free of charge within 14 days after booking, as long as the event has not started. Read the full text for the exceptions. After that, the organizer’s cancellation policy applies.
Terms for event organizers
Full text: Event terms for organizers.
- You run the event and are responsible for its content, venue and safety.
- To publish an event that is paid online, you need a fully verified Stripe account.
- Payments stay with Stripe until the payout or a refund.
- If the minimum is not reached at the decision deadline, you choose to run the event anyway or to cancel it.
- The platform fee depends on your plan. Read Plans for organizers.
