Cookie Policy

DRAFT — pending qualified lawyer and native Dutch review. This cookie policy is accurate for the current setup of the site, but is still being reviewed by a qualified lawyer before it is treated as final. The Dutch version is canonical. Points still to be confirmed are marked [REVIEW].

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. They are often used to remember preferences, keep you logged in, or track visitors for advertising. Under the GDPR and the Dutch Telecommunications Act, non-essential cookies require your prior consent.

Our approach: no tracking

pbw.life sets no tracking cookies andno marketing or advertising cookies. That is also why you won't see a cookie-consent banner on this site: there is no non-essential cookie for which we would need to ask consent.

Cookieless analytics (Plausible)

For anonymous, aggregated visitor statistics we usePlausible Analytics. Plausible is a cookieless, GDPR-friendly analytics service: it sets no cookies, uses no persistent identifiers, and processes no personal data. It does not collect data across devices or websites and sells nothing to third parties. Plausible is hosted in the EU.

Error monitoring (Sentry)

In the logged-in apps (not on this marketing site) we useSentryto find out when something breaks. Sentry is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt) and receives a technical report of the failure — never your name, e-mail address or booking contents.

Browser-side error reporting is its own choice in the consent banner, separate from usage statistics: you can allow error monitoring and decline statistics, or the other way round. Decline it and nothing is sent from your device. Sentry's session-replay feature follows that same choice, and it records at most the moments leading up to an error — never a whole visit, with page text and images masked.

Errors that happen on our own servers are reported regardless of your choice. Nothing is stored on or read from your device in that case, so the cookie rules do not apply; we do it on the basis of legitimate interest, and you can object — see thePrivacy Policy.

Strictly necessary cookies

This marketing site (pbw.life) is a static website with no login and sets no cookies at all — not even strictly necessary ones. Should we introduce a strictly necessary cookie in the future (for example, to remember a deliberate choice you made), we will update the table below. Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement by law. [REVIEW: confirm no strictly necessary cookies are introduced on the app domains linked to pbw.life.]

Functional storage that is not a cookie

Cookies are not the only way to store data on your device, and article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act covers storing and reading in general. For completeness: the pricing section of this site usessessionStorage — not a cookie, and the data disappears the moment you close the tab.

KeyPurposeRetention
pbw_pricing_cycleRemembers whether you are viewing monthly or yearly prices, so your choice does not jump back.Until you close the tab
pbw_pricing_cycle_viewedStops a single anonymous measurement from being counted again on every page load.Until you close the tab

Both hold nothing but your own display preference, cannot be linked to you as a person, and are never sent anywhere. They are strictly necessary for a feature you are actively using and are therefore exempt from the consent requirement — which is why you still see no consent banner. You can clear them by closing the tab or through your browser's storage settings.

No cookies in use on this site.

Managing cookies

Because we set no cookies, there is nothing you need to do. You can always manage or delete cookies, and the sessionStorage keys listed above, in your browser settings. To opt out of Plausible measurement you can use a tracker blocker or enable "Do Not Track"; Plausible processes no personal data in any case.

Logged-in app environments

The logged-in parts of the platform (for example companies.pbw.life and the booking pages) use Auth0 for authentication, which may use strictly necessary session technologies to keep you signed in. Those sit outside this site and are described in the cookie/privacy policy of the relevant app environment. [REVIEW: add a reference to the app cookie policy once published.]
