pbw.life works in seven languages: English, Dutch (Nederlands), German (Deutsch), Polish (Polski), Russian (Русский), Ukrainian (Українська) and Spanish (Español). You choose the language of the screens yourself. Some texts you write yourself, and English is required for those.
Switch the language
- Web portals and the booking page: open the language menu (the globe icon) and choose a language. In the studio portal and the organizer portal, the menu is at the bottom of the side menu. Your choice is saved in this browser. The default is English.
- Business app and pbw.life app: go to More > Language. On first start, the app uses the language of your phone when it is supported. Otherwise it uses English.
- Masters app: choose the language in the app menu. The app also starts in the language of your phone when it is supported.
The language of the screens is separate from the language of your e-mails. Changing one does not change the other.
Language of e-mails
- Studios: studio e-mails use the studio’s notification language. Set it on your studio page in the portal with Notification language. If you do not set it, e-mails are in English.
- Organizers: set the e-mail language during signup or later in your profile.
- Clients: booking e-mails use the language the client used while booking. Clients with an account can also set a preferred language in Preferences.
A few e-mails are always in English: the welcome e-mail after you create a studio, the reminder before a subscription payment, and the e-mails about the end of the Founding year. The e-mails about a failed subscription payment use the studio’s notification language.
What is translated for you
- All screens, buttons and messages in the portals and apps.
- Service names. Services come from the pbw.life catalog, and the catalog names are translated by pbw.life.
- E-mail and push messages, in the language described above.
What you write yourself
- Studio description: you write it per language in tabs. English is required and needs at least 30 characters. The other languages are optional. If a language is empty, clients see the English text.
- Other texts you type, such as client notes, are shown as you wrote them. They are not translated automatically.
The website
The website pbw.life is available in six languages: Dutch, English, German, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian. Spanish is not available on the website yet. The portals and apps support all seven languages.
